The design of this patch is inspired by a carpet from the early 20th century from the Zhytomyr region, village Velykyi Lis, a historical and geographical area of Polissya.
The designer is Yaryna Mykolaivska. The earliest mentions of carpets in this region date back to the 10th-12th centuries in chronicles, where they were used for sacred purposes.
Currently, the original carpet is preserved in the branch of the Museum of Ethnography and Artistic Industry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, located at 10 Rynok Square, Lviv.
