The design of this patch is inspired by a 1974 carpet woven by an ethnic Ukrainian, Olenka Frantsuz. The historical name of the carpet is "My Sheep, My Sheep."
This carpet is a family heirloom of the Ivanochko family. Tetiana Ivanochko, who is also the director of the Ukrainian Museum in Toronto, Canada, inherited it from her mother. Unfortunately, the exact circumstances under which it was acquired are unknown, but it has already become legendary within the Ukrainian diaspora and now also in Ukraine.
